If you’re unimpressed with the current normal for childhood and you want something slower, simpler and hardier for your family then you have come to the right place. At The Hardihood we are committed to growing strong bodies and resilient minds based on timeless principles. I won’t be throwing out any new ideas or theories. Nope, I’m not much into those. After trying this “great” new idea for child-led parenting with our first two kids I’ve learned my lesson about going all-in on theories that have not stood the test of time. Especially with something as precious as a child’s most formative years on the line. I’m not saying past generations had it all right. Of course not! But in our quest for finding solutions to problems we have (as a society) thrown the baby out with the bath water. A lot of that water could have been saved, not to mention the baby! Now we’ve had some time to see how modern child rearing has played out. Do you like what you see? No, I don’t either. So here I am on a mission with my husband to create a family culture that encourages our children to grow strong bodies and resilient minds for whatever the future has in store. I hope you’ll consider doing the same for those in your care.
From food to feed the body to food to feed the soul we will talk about it all here. The road to Hardihood is simple but not easy. So buckle up. I’m here to tell you that you can do it and I’m here to promise you that you and your family won’t regret it.
